The rumour mill has started, Dell could possibly be shipping their latest line of PC’s in the US with the popular open-source distro Ubuntu:
- the Inspiration E1505 laptop;
- the Dimension desktop E520 sans monitor and;
- the XPS 410 desktop
It wouldn’t be the PC makers first foray into the Linux world after a somewhat lukewarm reception to the line back in 2001 forced them to pull the product line.
However, the power and popularity of Linux have grown in those few short years. It should turn out better this time round.
